ABOUT
THE ARTIST
Cora King’s creative journey began with music, playing the cello from age 12. While music remains integral to her life, she discovered another artistic expression through painting.
Each of her pieces is influenced by the music she listens to, creating a dynamic and emotionally rich body of work.
Several years ago, a vivid memory and a recurring dream led Cora to explore painting more intentionally. This allowed her to express intricate emotions through color and texture.
Cora's diverse career in marketing, logistics, and managing artists' studios has given her a solid understanding of the art business. This complements her intuitive, emotionally driven approach to painting, where she embraces mistakes as growth opportunities and practices mindfulness in her creative process.
In 2020, Cora began painting full-time and established her Georgia-based studio and gallery, King Gallery. The gallery showcases her work and works of other independent artists, serving as a community space for an array of creative projects.
Cora’s mission is to create authentic pieces that speak to the human experience, influenced by her childhood, pop culture nostalgia, and travels.
